Project Overview.

Murals.ng commissioned murals for MSTQ, a renowned restaurant and bar in Lekki Phase One, Lagos, formerly known as “The Vibe.” The owners, who also operate another branch called “The Vibe” in Victoria Island, wanted to rebrand this location with a unique identity. They reached out to us, initially requesting simple murals to adorn their walls. However, Mr. Femi suggested something that would truly reflect the restaurant's new name—something mystical.

To align with the mystical theme, Murals.ng  prominently incorporated the X-Men character Mystique into the murals, her images woven into the artwork.

Much like the HQ rooftop project, we were given a tight deadline of three days. Our team delivered exceptional results on short notice, making sure everything was completed before the grand opening.

Client Vision.

The vision was to transform MSTQ into a captivating space with surreal artwork that perfectly matched the new brand identity.

The rebranding of MSTQ in Lekki Phase One, Lagos, stemmed from a desire to create a unique identity distinct from the other branch in Victoria Island. Initially, the client requested simple murals, but Mr. Femi suggested a more ambitious approach that would align with the restaurant's new mystical theme.

Project Scope.

The project scope for “The Mystique” involved transforming the restaurant and bar with distinct mural designs. The bar area was to feature vibrant, eye-catching murals depicting people enjoying drinks, with a mystical creature prominently in the foreground. The overall design was to showcase glistening bottles and bright colors, conveying the elegance and excitement of a top-tier bar.

The restaurant area was intended to offer a refreshing and natural ambiance through botanical murals, giving diners the sensation of an outdoor experience.

Design and Planning Process.

The process began with the rapid development of detailed digital artwork, created in close consultation with the client to ensure alignment with their vision. Despite the tight timeline, each design was carefully crafted.We also made sure we incorporated the mystical theme, with the X-Men character Mystique playing a central role.

The digital artwork was then produced as UV-printed murals, chosen for their vibrant colors and high-quality finishes. 

Execution and Installation.

“The Mystique” project was an ambitious and fast-tracked endeavor, completed in just three days from design to installation. 

Our skilled team executed the installation with precision, covering both the ground floor and the upper floor of the building. Every detail was carefully managed to ensure a flawless finish, resulting in a seamless and visually stunning transformation that perfectly aligned with the client’s vision.

Results

The project successfully transformed the restaurant and bar into a vibrant, immersive space, with visually striking murals that elevated the ambiance. The client was so satisfied with the results that they commissioned two additional projects with us afterward.
