Giran was created for a private apartment in collaboration with Primeone. The interior already had strong material quality, balance, and finish; the opportunity was to give it something those qualities alone could not provide—a specific cultural identity.
Murals.ng introduced the mural as a defining layer within the stairwell and adjoining living space. Rather than arrive as an accessory after the design was complete, the work was positioned to organise perception: drawing the eye upward, establishing a focal point, and giving the residence a visual signature of its own.
The project asked a simple question: what changes when a finished residence becomes an authored one?
The Challenge
Strong finishes had not yet created a distinct identity.
The apartment was refined, but its visual language risked remaining interchangeable with other premium interiors built from similar materials and conventions. Without a clear layer of authorship, quality could be recognised while the space itself remained difficult to remember.
The intervention therefore needed to do more than fill an empty wall. It had to create distinction while respecting the existing architecture and the calm, polished character of the home.
The Intervention
A cultural anchor was built into the vertical circulation.
The stairwell offered the strongest opportunity for impact. Its height, changing viewpoints, and connection to the living area allowed Giran to be encountered in stages: first as a distant field of form and colour, then as a close artwork while moving between levels.
The composition was aligned with the interior logic rather than placed independently of it. Scale responds to the wall, the chandelier shares the vertical sightline, and the mural remains present from the adjoining room without overwhelming its furnishings.
The Spatial Effect
The artwork gives the residence a recognisable point of view.
From the living space, Giran creates a composed backdrop and a clear destination for the eye. Within the stairwell, it becomes more immersive, using architectural height to amplify detail and presence.
This dual role is central to the project. The mural is not isolated as a collectible object, nor dissolved into decoration. It remains a distinct work while actively shaping how the surrounding rooms are read and remembered.
The Outcome
A finished apartment became a culturally authored asset.
The completed installation gives the apartment a focal point that generic finishes could not supply. It strengthens memorability, photographs with clarity, and allows the space to signal intention and cultural confidence from first contact.
That distinction supports the wider value of the property by making it less interchangeable. Giran does not replace architectural quality; it gives that quality a specific identity through which the residence can be recognised and valued.
Giran reinforces a principle at the centre of our spatial work: when art is integrated with architecture, identity becomes part of the asset—not an accessory placed inside it.
