Aremo Fẹlá — Heir to Rhythm, Keeper of the Flame
About the Project
At the centre of The Afrobeat Lagos stands Aremo Fẹlá — the heir to Fẹlá's throne. Not by blood alone, but by rhythm, memory, and rebellion. Crowned in bronze, beads, basslines and brass, this is the ẹni tí yó jogún itẹ́ Fẹlá — the one who inherits the groove, the fire, the unapologetic soul of Afrobeat.
He is Akọ́bí Fẹlá, the first son of rhythm. His face is carved from legacy. His eyes carry Lagos, Harlem, and every underground club that ever pulsed with Black joy. Behind him, golden horns curve like royal insignia — they praise, they warn, they remember. Their music is collage: of ancestors, sweat, saxophones, protest, and dance.
Around him, textures tell stories. Adire speaks from his robes. Aso-Oke glimmers beneath a modern patina. Geometric echoes recall palace walls, market murals, studio sound foam. The whole piece pulses like a record turning — rich, layered, alive.
This is not just visual art. It is a shrine built on syncopation. A mural that moves without moving. A visual groove. At The Afrobeat, every wall vibrates with history. Every horn calls you home.
