About the Work
The Archive Surface. A ONE-OF-ONE ARCHIVE INTELLIGENCE, BOUND TO A SINGLE OWNER AT ACQUISITION. A record surface for memory, lineage, and encoded authorship. Gateway Protocol 01 is engineered as a modular field of encoded memory. Its visual architecture draws from Nsibidi sign systems, Uli linear reduction, and the compartmental sequencing of West African narrative surfaces — where meaning is organized through chambers, thresholds, and symbolic fragments. The gridded relief composition stores identity across layered visual compartments: memory, lineage, signal, and authorship held as interconnected fields within one ordered system. At the point of acquisition, the work is bound to its owner through a custom embedded code sequence integrated into the modular rhythm of the panel. That code functions as signature, credential, and key — allowing the piece to operate as a one-of-one recognition surface across interior space, collectible context, and future-facing digital environments. Installed, the wall becomes an architectural record of belonging, memory, and authorship that cannot be held by anyone else.
