About the Work
Cowrie Crest draws inspiration from traditional African motifs (cowries) but translates theminto a clean, faceted structure with strong Art Deco influence; sharp lines, symmetricallayering, and a polished, sculptural presence. Its geometry mirrors the lighting fixtures on the surrounding walls, creating a unified design language across the space. By echoing those forms, the piece becomes the culmination of the room’s architectural story: where light, pattern, and structure meet. This piece elevates the entire wall from a passive surface to an architectural sculpture. Itsignifies taste, confidence, and a love for design that blends African heritage with modernartistic sensibilities.
Engineered in high-density cast composite with hand-applied polished metallic patination — built across multiple finishing layers to replicate the depth and material weight of faceted bronze. The cowrie-derived geometry and Art Deco layering are digitally mapped from traditional African motifs and architectural lighting language, then translated into precision-relief panel work at architectural scale. Surface markings are tooled to exact geometric specification. Installed with structural wall-mounting hardware. Each piece is a limited commission.
Engineered for your space. Not adapted to it.
A Sculptural Relic is not a product you select from a shelf. It is an instrument commissioned to carry a specific intelligence into a specific space.
Every dimension of the piece — scale, finish, surface language, backing panel, mounting system — is determined by a spatial mapping process unique to your environment.
The cultural intelligence of each relic remains intact. What changes is how that intelligence is engineered into your space.
